The basics
- Prices displayed on our website do not include sales tax.
- Your company address determines if you’re obliged to pay the tax.
- Owners and vice owners can update the company address by going to Account details > Billing details.
What is a sales tax?
A sales tax is paid to a governing body for certain goods and services. Usually, laws allow the seller to collect funds for the tax from the consumer at the point of purchase.
Is my company required to pay sales tax?
The tax is determined by your company address, the zip/postal code. It is automatically calculated and added to your subscription.
Currently, LiveChat collects the tax only for the state of Massachusetts. We will update the list of applicable states accordingly.
Where can I find the tax amount?
You can find it on the subscription page and on your invoices.
